ALL ABOUT GICLEES

Giclees (Jhee-clays) are fine art reproductions made with pigmented inks printed onto archival materials, such as paper and canvas. Giclees are the most expensive prints to produce, using specialty machinery, inks and materials. The archival quality of giclees sets them apart from regular prints, as your artwork will not fade or deteriorate as quickly.

I take pride in offering the highest quality archival giclee prints at Star Hotel Designs, partnering with an amazing local printer to bring you all of the designs you’ll find here. Each design in the shop is a reproduction of one of my original paintings!

GICLEES ON PAPER  are printed onto photo rag paper which is a velvety, thick paper that is specially formulated for archival printing. It feels a lot like watercolor paper with slight texture and matte finish. Giclees on paper have a white border for framing, artist signature and embossed studio insignia. This guarantees the authenticity of the print and that the artwork is from my studio…you can’t get these anywhere else! Artwork is also signed on the back.

GICLEES ON CANVAS  Many designs are available as canvas prints as well. Smaller sizes come as canvas stretched onto a wood frame, ready to hang. Larger sizes come as flat canvas with a 2 inch printed border for stretching. Canvas prints are signed in one of the lower corners and on the back.

Star Hotel Designs are collectable, heirloom-quality artworks.
